Story 1 of 2

Bride: Marley Moes
Groom: Steven Droppert
Location: Ontario, Canada
Date: July 28, 2007
Hi There, my name is Marley Droppert, formerly Marley Moes. July 28th of 2007 I married the man of my dreams, steven droppert. We wed in our home church here is St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. The Reception was held in my aunts backyard surrounded by vineyards. And let me tell you, it was a dream. I mean aside from the food, the atmosphere, the warmth of two families coming together to celebrate, i have to say, we looked hot! My dress was designed by Melissa Sweet (lord bless her, she's so talented!!), the name of the dress was Sadie. The moment i saw the dress in an ad, i knew i had to have that dress. So immediately i searched the nearest boutique that carried Melissa Sweet and the closest was about an hour away. So i called right after and booked my appointment for that weekend only to find out they were having a trunk show (which we all know means sale). So i tried on all these dresses they were handing me, wondering if i was ever going to try on Sadie. I was wondering if they even HAD Sadie! finally i spoke up and said 'You know, i really just need to try on Sadie if you have her. That's all I'm here for.' So they brought her and it fit like a glove. Immediately by bridesmaid nodded with tears. We'd all silently agreed this was the one.

Now i do realize you should be complimented the most on your wedding day, but i can not get over how many compliments I received on my dress.. Relatives in tears, because I 'looked like an angel' or because this dress was 'so' me! Still to this day people see my pictures and comment on how stunning it is. Friends of mine getting married this year ask to borrow it (jokingly of course...i hope)hah. Anyways, the actual beauty in my dress, I believe, is this.....

As i began to pack my things up, getting ready for the big move, I came across old notes and artwork from elementary school. On one of the notes was a whole bunch of lists. 'things to do before i die' lists, and 'Things to bring on this years vacation' lists and 'Favourite animals' lists. Beside all these different types of lists, of course, was the typical 10 year old's list, 'Names for my future daughter'. And yes, if you haven't guessed it yet, at the very top of the list, I read, teary-eyed, 'Sadie'.
